Several donors have instituted specific projects at Prerana with common objectives of “education-to-employment”. These projects help students to be identified with the donors and develop a sense of gratitude. It gives an opportunity for donors and their volunteers to interact with beneficiaries and help them mould students towards career.
Prerana is happy to be associated with these benevolent donors who help thousands of rural, underprivileged and nescient students to realise their dreams.
ADVA is a German based global player in Networking equipment with a development centre in Bengaluru. ADVA supports students with Scholarship & Mentorship to Engineering students who have chosen Electronics & Communication or Computer Science subject.
So & so has completed her Engineering and currently working in xxx. Four students are in their final year BE. Another 9 students in various years of their Engineering degrees are beneficiaries of this project.
Kamakshi Rao is from Bangalore, finished her early education here and moved to US for higher education. She has an illustrious career in various Investment firms. Kamakshi Rao is associated with Prerana for more than 15 years.
Kamakshi Rao has inherited great values from her grandmother, Smt. Sumitra Balasubramanian who was a talented home-maker and skilfully raised her children and grandchildren to be well anchored human beings. Kamakshi Rao is supporting about 500 girls from Govt. Girls PU College at Basavanagudi & Malleswaram through Rao Deshpande Family Fund.
Prof. Rishikesha Krishnan, Director of IIMB is one of the advisory board members at Prerana as well.
Rishi’s mother ZTN Janaki Krishnan was a Zontian, President of District 25 which comprised of Bangladesh, India & Sri Lanka. ZTN Janaki was a friendly, gentle but firm and dynamic leader with vision, knowledge and commitment.
Rishi has instituted a “Remarkable Young Woman of Prerana” award in his mother’s name to be given to most outstanding girls at Prerana.
The goal of Keshava Foundation is to provide support and mentorship for under-privileged, pre-university students from rural areas in India, who are showing academic purpose.
In 2017 the scholarship program was started in Government Pre-University college in Kalasapura. A rural village located 4 hours from Bangalore, Kalasapura has poor infrastructure with limited access to clean drinking water, electricity and medical services. In 2018 we have added a second Government Pre-University College in the neighboring town of Javagal. Together with supporting these very worthy students, what is very exciting here are the early plans for a digital library to provide the students with online tools, training and interaction …. both from Bangalore and from around the world!
SKF Scholarship Program for Girls scholarship program was launched with the objective of extending financial support to deserving girls from economically weaker section. The program aims to help young and deserving girls in breaking the barrier of financial constraint and become self-reliant to chase and achieve their dreams.
Through this program, SKF is providing scholarships to cover substantial educational expenses of eligible girls their 10th. Apart from scholarship, a holistic development program is conducted to help them gain confidence and improve communication.
